How to Deny an Election & Disenfranchise Your Voters

Training Module: How to Deny an Election & Disenfranchise Your Voters

Winning an election is hard work. Lucky for you, our party has found a shortcut. You don’t actually have to win — you just have to sow enough doubt in our free and fair elections to try and overturn the ones you lose. In this training module, you’ll learn how it’s done from candidates for governor in key states who have direct experience denying results, trying to subvert their own voters’ will, and working to intimidate voters at the polls.

Panelists

Rick Jackson:

Georgia gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson believes that the only fair elections are the ones where Republicans win. And honestly? Us too.

He’s been one of the best mouthpieces for the GOP’s election denials, calling the 2020 election “totally ridiculous” and insisting it’s “really easy to believe that, for the last 40 years, Fulton County has been cheating on voting.” Jackson even called Georgia’s own Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, “Judas” for the crime of doing his job and following the law when he certified Georgia’s election results in 2020.

Now he’s taking it even further. Jackson recently told a supporter that Governor Brian Kemp would have the National Guard “watching” over the election this November. In a state Trump has turned into ground zero for his war on elections, isn’t it just such a relief to have a gubernatorial candidate who not only feeds the conspiracy theories but wants to send in state military power to monitor the polls in the very election he’s trying to win?

Andy Biggs:

If your plan to thwart election results includes plotting an insurrection, Andy Biggs is your guy.

The Republican nominee for governor in Arizona was allegedly involved in the planning of the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol. The committee investigating January 6th subpoenaed Biggs over allegations that he attended a White House meeting to strategize ways to overturn the 2020 election results. Biggs also personally asked Arizona’s speaker of the House to support decertifying Arizona’s electors. “Stop the Steal” movement founder Ali Alexander even claimed multiple times that Biggs helped him plan January 6th.

And if your plan goes sideways and you need to dodge accountability? Biggs is also your guy. When the committee referred him to the House Ethics Committee for not complying with his subpoena, Biggs played one of our favorite tricks in the book: calling the committee a “baseless witch hunt.”

Stacy Garrity:

Stacy Garrity, Pennsylvania’s Republican nominee for governor, has been a true ally in promoting Trump’s election fraud conspiracies. She claimed Trump actually won 2020, spoke at a rally sowing election doubt one day before the January 6th insurrection, and helped push to toss out more than 2,200 Pennsylvania ballots in Bucks county. She’s also been vocal in opposing mail-in ballots.

This year, as Trump openly called to “nationalize” elections and “take over” voting, Garrity was on board! She’s already offered to work with Trump on administering Pennsylvania’s elections.

Garrity will teach you just how far you can bend the will of your own constituents, so long as you remain loyal to Trump.

Bobby Charles:

Maine’s Republican gubernatorial candidate, Bobby Charles, will teach you how to turn polling sites into an ICE checkpoint. The key? Networking.

“Here’s my secret,” Bobby recently told supporters “I have a friend named Tom Homan.” Bobby went on to explain that his plan was to ask his buddy Tom, the White House border czar, “for ICE and marshals to be at our voting booths.”

The only hiccup with Bobby’s plan? Federal law prohibits federal agencies from putting troops or armed officers near polling sites.

Tom Tiffany:

Tom Tiffany, the Republican nominee for governor in Wisconsin, supported overturning the 2020 election and voted against the certification of Joe Biden’s win. Tiffany said he doesn’t “believe we should be doing mail-in voting,” despite records showing that Tiffany cast absentee ballots more than a dozen times since 2016.

Tiffany will teach you the imperative rules for thee, not for me approach to attacking free and fair elections.
